Fastank Soft Rescue Stretcher
FASTANK's new Soft Rescue Stretcher is currently being used by the Kawasaki Fire Department in Japan with significant benefits.
This innovative new product has particular application and benefits for emergency response organisations.
The stretcher is portable, robust, and versatile, ideal for rapid deployment and has been designed for a number of applications:
- Casualty recovery – near shore locations, during flood events, mountain rescue, and on water rescue
- Transporting casualties – horizontally or seated
- Use on small vessels – Man overboard system
- CBRN Response
- Casualty Wash down
- Confined space evacuation
The stretcher is made with vinyl-coated high tenacity orange fabric and heavy-duty mesh using high-frequency welding with no stitching. The mesh allows water to drain away from the casualty as they are being recovered, which aids manual handling and speed of recovery.
The 1.85m long and 0.7m wide stretcher has a safe working load capacity of up to 230kg. The stretcher can be folded to a small packaged size for storage in small spaces such as on rescue boats or response vehicles, weighing a total of 1.10kg.
