Maritime New Zealand have selected Fast Engineering Limited from Antrim to supply its FASTANK range of modular and portable tanks as part of a 5-year framework agreement.  The contract forms part of Maritime New Zealand’s commitment to providing oil spill preparedness and response for the regions coastline.  FASTANK products will be stockpiled in strategic locations around New Zealand.

Fast Engineering were pleased to welcome Maritime New Zealand, Technical Service Leader, Scott Read, who visited the company’s Antrim manufacturing facility on Monday 19^th June.  Mr Read’s visit included an inspection of the manufacturing operation and equipment to be supplied within the framework agreement. Adam Holland, General Manager, facilitated a tour of the factory concentrating on the technical and quality procedures which the company employs to ensure the performance and longevity of its products.  He also introduced Mr Read to some of the company’s newest and most innovative products, focusing on Fast Engineering’s commitment to research and development.

Seamus Connolly, Managing Director of Fast Engineering commented, “We are delighted with the outcome of this tender and that Maritime New Zealand have made the long journey to visit with us.  We are confident that the FASTANK range will add significant value to Maritime New Zealand’s Oil Spill Response preparedness.

Scott Read, Technical Service Leader with Maritime New Zealand stated, “The Maritime Pollution Response Service (MPRS) recognised that its upcoming projects had varying operational and situational requirements and as a result has selected the suppliers which it feels can provide the most appropriate product on a project by project basis.”
